New Build... need advice

Hello,

I recently built my third PC for my office... a friend dropped by and asked me if I can put something together for him. He wants to keep it relatively cheap. He will be doing some light gaming, light tv watching and using it mostly for some modeling and doing work on Solid Works 3D Cat as well as MS Office and web browsing.

He will not be overclocking...

Heres what I picked (All from NewEgg):

- Radeon 5770 (he already has it).


Is this a solid build?
Never used that MOBO, picked it from customer reviews...
Went AMD cuz hes looking to keep it cheap.

I would go with the Samsung Spinpoint F3 instead of the WD. It is a faster and better hard drive. You could drop down to the Athlon II X4 620 to cut cost with little performance decrease.

Everything else looks good with your build.

i have no idea if its cheaper, but it is definitely much much better, final price is 526.93, hope this helped

I'd make the change tecmo mentioned. Pick up the PSU/HDD combo from ares. Then get the most powerful X4 CPU you can get.
