After installing the latest intel chipset driver (9.6.0.1014), the registry still shows the old one (9.1.1.1023). Anyone know how to get the registry to show the correct driver or if maybe the update didn't work?

You might be looking at the registry entry for the previous driver version.. Installing a new driver does not deletes the older entries.. You can use a program like 'Ccleaner' to clean up your registry and check again if the older entry still exists..

OK, I found out that what I am looking at in the registry is the chipset update utility. Where can I look to verify the driver version? I can't find it in device manager.

Installing a driver does in most cases does not remove the previous version. The effect of this is that you can roll back a driver if the new one causes problems.
