Fried Motherboard? Best replacement?

Hello,

I finally (after 5 hours) nailed my problem down to a memory issue. As I replaced the second stick of good RAM, I left the power cable in.

I believe this fried my motherboard, the only apparent sign being it wont turn on. It won't post, I will just get a quick spin on the fans.

I guess I want to clarify what happened, but more importantly what's a good motherboard to upgrade to? ($200 range). I just want to order one now.

I have a i7 920, the MB is a Gigabyte X58-UD3 v1.

Help is appreciated, links to newegg products preferred.
