Hey,

So at a bit of a crossroad. I'm doing a lot of heavy computing for mostly long periods of time and occasionally sporadically. And i came here to get your opinions on which upgrade to go with either a

2(2 x 4GB pc5300 DDR2 FB-DIMM) or 2(2 x 4GB pc6400 DDR2){also a 4 x 4GB}

which one outweighs the other FB-DIMM or the higher 6400?

also looking at newegg any suggestions on a certain brand?

my setup is the following according to crucialscan

# Maximum Memory Capacity: 16384MB
# Currently Installed Memory: 8GB
# Available Memory Slots: 0
# Total Memory Slots: 4
# Dual Channel Support: Yes
# CPU Manufacturer: GenuineIntel
# CPU Family: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz CPU
# CPU Speed: 2826 MHz
