Looking to do my first build and I think I'm finally ready to buy after a couple months of researching what I want. I'm looking to stay right around the $1000 mark but am flexible in either direction. I'm looking to do some web development (.NET) and other software development (Java, eclipse). Also will be doing some video and photo editing but not to a huge extent. I won't be doing any gaming but would like to be able to have 3 different monitors at once (2 monitors and a tv) I am also likely going to be running virtual machines (hence the need for lots of memory) and am going to give OCing a try.

Take a look to see if there are any parts I can improve on and also to make sure everything is compatible.

Anything I can improve or maybe lower the price. Would like to get this ordered so I can put it together this weekend.

That is an awesome build, I can't really find much to complain about. I own many of those parts and highly recommend them.

The PSU, while not one of the traditional best, should be plenty for this build and is a great value (I do have a couple OCZ PSUs and they work great).

If you have any questions about specific parts (that I have) I'd be glad to answer them. I think that you will definitely meet your goals of quiet (mine is nearly silent in my opinion) and powerful.

Well, I guess one other thing to ponder. If not gaming (and don't have any need to dual GPU at any time) you may want to consider the UD3 version of that board. Or not, but if you need to lower the price that would be the place I'd do it. There, or perhaps the case (Antec 300 will save you a little), though I'd probably keep the 900 if possible.
