Virtualization support

Hello,
I have a E8400 and I wanna use windows 7 XP-mode !
I saw on the intel offical site that E8400 support Virtualization hardware but intel software to detect CPU technologies say that my CPU don't support Virtualization Hardware !!
what should I do ??
(sorry for bad Eng-Language !! )

It's probably a glitch & I'd trust Intel's website - I'm pretty sure that the Core™ 2 Duo E8000 series do support virtualisation.

They do.

You just need to enable it in the BIOS.

All 8xxx series support VT-x. Except E8190.

but I didn't find any option in Bios (Giga-P35DS3L)

first time i had Vista ultimate on my PC and My CPU's rating was 5.9 and from that time I installed New OSs My CPU's rating always is 5.2 !!!

Please .. help ME

Your chip supports it. If it is off it is due to it being shut off in the BIOS.

If you run cpu-z you will see VT-x in the instructions list.

my bios version is F4 and it seems I must update bios ... but it's too risky .. I think I must forget Virtualization .... !

Download SecurAble from http://www.grc.com/securable.htm and report on the results.

Without an Bios Update it will not give that option.

Since your BIOS is F4, you have a revision 1.x motherboard. Download the BIOS file and execute it. motherboard_bios_ga-g31m-es2l_f10.exe is an executable file.
