More about virtualization support
  1. It's probably a glitch & I'd trust Intel's website - I'm pretty sure that the Core™ 2 Duo E8000 series do support virtualisation.
  2. They do.

You just need to enable it in the BIOS.

    All 8xxx series support VT-x. Except E8190.
  3. thx for your answers
but I didn't find any option in Bios (Giga-P35DS3L)

first time i had Vista ultimate on my PC and My CPU's rating was 5.9 and from that time I installed New OSs My CPU's rating always is 5.2 !!!

    Please .. help ME
  4. Your chip supports it. If it is off it is due to it being shut off in the BIOS.

If you run cpu-z you will see VT-x in the instructions list.
  5. I didn't find any option in bios !!!

  6. http://processorfinder.intel.com/details.aspx?sSpec=SLAPL

    It does support it.

Perhaps you need to update the BIOS?

BIOS might be from the 65nm not 45nm Core 2 era.
  7. my bios version is F4 and it seems I must update bios ... but it's too risky .. I think I must forget Virtualization .... !
  8. You could try VirtualBox!

Download SecurAble from http://www.grc.com/securable.htm and report on the results.
  10. You have to update to bios F8 it isn't that risky gigabyte has a program it will flash it right from windows. That is the only way it will work. After flash under CPU Configuration you will see the option for it.

In the BIOS, Advanced BIOS Features, "Virtualization Technology" should be set to Enabled.

Without an Bios Update it will not give that option.
  13. please tell me what's the name of that program that can flash bios under windows !??

    and what is my motherboard rev ??? rev.1 & rev.2 ????
  14. Since your BIOS is F4, you have a revision 1.x motherboard. Download the BIOS file and execute it. motherboard_bios_ga-g31m-es2l_f10.exe is an executable file.
  15. thank u !!
