Marvel adapter 88se91 no hard drive detected

Hi,

I have an ASUS P6T Deluxe motherboard. When the computer boots up I get a message following the marvell adapter line that reads Disks Information: No hard disk is detected. Why is this message coming up?

Does it still boot afterwards?

You can just disable the controller and the message should go away.

It does still boot. Just disable the marvell controller? I have a RAID 0.

Is your RAID setup on the Marvell controller??

If so than no... If no, it won't effect it..

I assume its set up on the Marvell controller but don't know that for a fact. How can you verify that? If it is set up on the marvell controller, why am I getting the no hard disk detected? I can boot up to windows.

Typically, the Marvell is a dedicate SATA port on the motherboard, so check how it is installed.

I have disabled the Marvell Controller and everything still boots up but I still get the message No hard disk detected. What else could this be. I don't know if its related but I am trying to upgrade vista 64bit to Win 7 64 bit and at the end of the installation I get an error that says windows cant write to the boot record. I'm puzzeled.
