just to make this clear, MONEY IS NO ISSUE.

Any problems with this set up please let me know, i have done my homework, but i have only been doing this a few months and may not notice some (obvious) errors.

Gigabyte EX-58-UD7
i7 975 @ 4.5+ ghz (i hope)
Corsair Dominator GT PC3-16000 DDR3 3 x 2 gb with the overhead fan kit (if it fits with the cpu heatsink and fan)
Nvidia GeForce GTX 295 x 2 in SLI
Intel X25-M G2 160 gb x 4 in RAID 10/5
CoolerMaster HAF 932 with all case fans including 230mm side fan
*Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme
Windows 7 64bit

*I would like to put in liquid cooling but I really don't know anything about how to set it up etc so am unsure of this at present.

More about : build 975

If money is no object why not go with HD 5970 instead of the Nvida?

RAM: Mushkin Enhanced Redline 6GB (3 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 CAS Latency 6 $230 after rebate. These are the fastest sticks available. And most likely cheaper than the Corsairs.

GPU: nVidia is dying. Stick in a pair of HD 5970s for $1,300.

PSU: OCZ Z Series 1000W 80+ Gold Certified for $260 after rebate. More power than you'll ever need and as efficient as you can get.

Cooler: Water cooling is over hyped. Stick with air. Change that for a Prolimatech Megahalems Rev.B and pick up a couple of fans for it.

Ok thank you very much, I wasn't sure if my mobo was compatible with crossfire but ati definitely look like the better option.

With the RAM, in respect of the other components, will it be possible to "tighten" it to something like 7-7-7-21 with a healthy (not over the top) overclock or would it not be necessary to push the ram this far?

PSU looks much better than the one i was looking at!

I think i will stick with the TRUE, just because it comes all boxed as one package and i know it works out of the box!

If there is anything else that anyone thinks might be an issue.... well you know what to do.

If you get the sticks I pointed to, they're already tighter than the Corsairs. And they'll stay that way when you overclock. With the Corsairs, you could tighten them up, but then you would lose it if you wanted to overclock.

CPU - i7 975 @ 4.5+ ghz (i hope)

- So far I am at 4.4 on the 920 using HS below

RAM - Mushkin CAS 6

GFX - Investing this much money in GFX before Fermi drops in 4weeks ????? I'd wait, whether it rocks or bombs, it will drive prices down.

Intel X25-M G2 160 gb x 4 in RAID 10/5 - SSD is good, RAID rather useless

Case / PSU - Suggest 1200 / CP-850 as alternate....top notch CPU (four 850 watters get a 10.0 on jonnyguru.com, this is one of them), comparable case for a price that can't be touched. See also
