I am currently running the following specs in my computer:

Intel i5 2500k
EVGA GTX 560ti
8gb vengence RAM

Since around June I've had the issue of my graphics card running at high speeds when I play my more intense games on ultra (BF3 Ghost recon FS). Oddly enough I even sometimes notice my GPU increase it's speed when playing WoW, which it didn't do before June. I would like to add this all started when I first played ghost recon future soldier, if that makes any difference. My current GPU specs while playing BF3 on ultra a few minutes ago are as follows:

fan usage 56%

GPU clock 0Mhz
GPU usage 99%
Temp 73 Celsius

My question is as follows, if I were to overclock my CPU like I've been wanting to do for a while, would I see a decrease in my GPU usage and fan speed or are the two not necessarily linked? Also, if I were to overclock my GPU would I see an increase in fan speed and decrease in usage?

Thanks folks

You gpu shouldn't be bottlenecked by your CPU. It may be a driver related thing. Check the description of what your drivers do and see if that sheds some light on the problem.
