Power Supply with 12 x 4-pin molex peripheral connectors

I need a power supply with 12 4-pin molex connectors for a norco 4220 case (powers hot swap drive bays) with rated for maybe 500 watts of output.

I realize that 20 hdd's will take a bunch of power to spin up, however the controller I am using supports stagged spin-up.

Are there any that are recommended?

More about power supply molex peripheral connectors
  1. None that i know of... but use splitters on existing molex or adaptors with sata cables??
  2. A Corsair 550VX has 8 molex connectors and with its 41 amp 12 volt rail, has plenty of power.
  3. +1 what jsc said.

The Corsair VX550 is a heavy duty power supply that is table and reliable.

You could use one splitter on 4 of the 8 molex connectors:

Here's a quick connect version that should work quite well since you can select where you want to added the connector along the length of the power cable:

I'm surprised you are still using 4 pin molex connectors. Must be older hard drives. Just out of curiosity what are you doing with 12 drives?

Corsair and Seasonic are two brands that have a reputation for high quality power supplies that consistently earn high marks in technical reviews. They are reliable, stable, and come with a 5 year warranty. Some of the newer models come with a 7 year warranty.
  4. Thanks Yall
