More about dual core core
  1. Go by the serial number on the cpu lid. Many new retail boxed cpus have this number displayed in a clear plastic section of the box.
  2. Well, a Core 2 Duo is a dual core, but normally, when it says dual core, it means Pentium dual core. In terms of laptops, only the sticker helps you identify them, otherwise you'd have to the check the box of the CPU, or go into Windows, and in XP run 'dxdiag' in Vista or 7, type dxdiag in the search box.
