I was wondering if my Biostar TA770 A2+ motherboard can handle this AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2 GHz 4x512 KB L2 Cache Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor - Retail HDZ955WFGBMBOX. I was about to buy but then i read that some motherboards only can only handle 95w CPUs. This one is 125w. I cannot find anywhere on the motherboard manual that says it can handle so and so wattage. Please help... Thanks in advance.

No, your BIOS have to be able to support it since it is an AM3 socket, which is slightly different than the AM2+.

I would double check with BIOSTAR to confirm what the website says about not supporting the CPU.
X4 955BE is a AM3 CPU that has a tdp of 125watts. Some of the early AMD 770 / SB600 had issues with that high rated CPU's and are limited to tdp of 95watts. I have one of those boards from Gigabyte and they did not bother with BIOS updates for AM3 CPU support.
