lol depends on a lot of things...generally i would say that a 500 should support the x4, but it really depends on what video card you have, the qulaity of the psu, the efficiency of it, the amount of parts, and amount of aging...try using an online psu calculator, or just tell us your setup and psu, and we could tell you.

It really depends on a lot of things, like video card and other components that you might have in the computer, the quality of the PSU it self, look at this website.

That should show you exactly which PSU you will probably want to put your pc add 100w for safety of what they say, and remember always buy quality PSU's like Corsair's PSU's Antec, some OCZ.
