Problem in booting intel D865GBF throught usb pen drive

Hi,

I am not able to boot my intel D865GBF mother board with usb pen drive, same pen drive is working fine with my IBM think pad but not working with this mother bord, kindly help, tell me what i am missing.

Have you set the first boot device to the USB stick? You will have to insert the USB stick into a USB port before you power-on the system or the BIOS won't see it (it cannot find something that is not there).

Hi,

I have done all that, when i try to boot through usb drive, then next sreen after post is a screen with "j" character and cusor blinking and the scrren freezes there.

Does the 865 support boot from USB?

This is a very old motherboard. You may have to boot from a floppy that gave you an option to boot the usb pen drive.
