the 7800GS is a pretty good AGP card so would probably use it (assuming you have a PSU that can run it safely !) - I've got one that I used for about 4 years until I recently upgraded to a Phenom II X3 720 and 5770 GPU and retired the old Athlon 3200+ system.

Are you happy with the new setup? Is the 5770 performing up to expectations?

Thanks,

Yep - the new system is much faster and smoother than the old one !! - I just got the new Heatsink\Fan put on today so now the temps are much better (under prime 95 and the stock HS it was getting up to 70C which is very close to the 73C thermal shut down point on my X3 720 but now with the Cooler MAster TX3 ( was on sale for $14.99 with free shipping and Newegg had sent me a $10 off next purchase code so for $4.99 Figured it was a good deal) it stays right around 50C when running Prime95 after upping the OC another 200Mhz also to 3.2GHz. with the 4th core also unlocked. As for the 5770 it is pretty much what I expected and runs all of the games well at very high settings ( In Oblivion I've gone from the high teens in FPS on the old setup to the high 40s Avg. (it does dip down once in awhile to the mid 20's but then goes back up fairly quickly - think thats more due to having only 2GB of RAM right now though since the price of RAM had been jumping up right around the time I bought the system I figured I'd get another 4GB kit when the prices settle a bit and I switch from VISTA 32 bit to WIN7 64 bit - but for now all is running very well for a sub $500 upgrade.
