Plz help me i cant play games on my hdtv!

hey i got a new pc today and to test it out i tried to play the free WoW demo, and i got a strange error msg. so i tried instead to play an old copy of risk i had laying around and it didnt work either

im an ametuer with PCs, i got intel core 2 quad, asus p5p43td, ati radeon 4650, 4gb ddr3 1333mhz ram and ive got it through an hdmi into my sony bravia tv.

please can anyone help me?

I had similar issues. I don't know if this will help you, but try to plug the computer into your regular computer monitor first and set the resolution to something low like 1024x768 in the game you wish to play. Then plug try it with the tv.
