I am thinking about upgrading my memory from 1066mhz DDR3 to 1333MHz or 2133MHz overclocked. The memory came with my motherboard/CPU combo and seemed like a good deal at the time, but now I am wondering if it is the weak link in my system.

I considered upgrading to 8GB of the same memory, but I read numerous articles that showed that the performance increase would be negligible. My questions is: for my system, how much of a performance gain would there be to upgrading to faster memory? If 1333MHz would be only be a slight bump and 2133MHz OC is recommended, what memory is best for overclocking?

I use my system as an HTPC and for video editing, picture editing, and gaming.
