I am thinking about upgrading my memory from 1066mhz DDR3 to 1333MHz or 2133MHz overclocked. The memory came with my motherboard/CPU combo and seemed like a good deal at the time, but now I am wondering if it is the weak link in my system.

I considered upgrading to 8GB of the same memory, but I read numerous articles that showed that the performance increase would be negligible. My questions is: for my system, how much of a performance gain would there be to upgrading to faster memory? If 1333MHz would be only be a slight bump and 2133MHz OC is recommended, what memory is best for overclocking?

I use my system as an HTPC and for video editing, picture editing, and gaming.

-ASUS P7H55D-M Evo
-Intel i5 661 3.33 OC@4.00 GHz during games and intense tasks
-VisionTEK ATI Radeon 5770 (for 1680x1050 gaming)
-4GB Crucial DDR3 1066
-Samsung 7200 1.5TB HDD
-Seagate 7200 500GB HDD
-Thermaltake TR2 600W PSU
-Sony DVD-RW
-Antec Fusion Black HTPC Case
-Samsung 22" LCD Monitor @1680x1050
-Toshiba 55" LCD HDTV @1920x1080

You won't see a noticeable boost going from 1066 to 1333MHz in games/apps.
Your current RAM is fine, keep it IMO.
