Lap-top keep disconnecting the wireless internet from a modem

i m using the NetgeaR EMTA CVG824G v3 wireless modem,,but my lap-top keep disconneting the internet then i have to double click n connect it ....n this continues ....i m soo sick of it....can some one pls help me....

Is there another machine in the system that remains on while this happens - on other words, can the connection be dropping rather than the laptop losing it?

As suggested above with wireless, the usual issues are reception/interference.

Try experimenting with different channels because some will work better or worse in your environs. If you can detect strong neighbouring wifi networks try to choose a channel 5 stops away from the strongest.

If poss raise the router above furniture level, relocate cordless phone base or video sender away from computer or router.
