Hi Folks

I'm gradually up-grading my gaming PC and just got a 25.5 in. monitor that forced a video card purchase in order to play at native res. (1920x1200). I chose an HD4890 after a lot of R+D and deciding that DX11, Eyefinity and a fast card were not in my budget. An excellent combo deal at newegg.ca on a 955 MBOX and an XFX HD4890 decided the matter.

For future consideration can I crossfire the 4890 and a cheap DX11 card like HD5670, get DX11 and Eyefinity, get a bit faster and save a whack of money so I can afford the monitors. LOL

I would disagree about your ablility to crossfire a 4890 with a 5670, last time I checked (unless some new development has come up and no one decided to post it).

You cant
They have to be of the same generation.
Ie. HD5000s only with HD5000s or HD4000s with HD4000s

OK, good 2 know. With all the reading I've done on this subject in the past month, I'm surprised that little bit of info never popped out.

Thanks Folks
