Computer Wont Recognize 3gb Ram

Hello,
i have a Asus F5R with Preloaded Windows Vista Home Premium, it came with 1gb ddr2 ram and recently installed another 2gb of same type ram. When i look into the bios it only shows up with 2gb when it should be showing 3gb.

Look into the System Properties in Control Panel. How much RAM do you see there ?

Your notebook may have support for only 2 GB memory.
