Says I'm missing 'Audio Device'. So I/m trying to install Sigma Tel High Def Audio Codec with the 'Found New Hardware Wizard' and I keep getting the message that a device is missing. I thought this WAS the missing device! Sheesh - I'm LOST - Please Help - I have no sound...

Don't use the wizard; just run the driver installer.

If you did not already download a driver from your computer manufacturer, do that and then run the file that you downloaded.

Hi Phil - thanks for the info. The man. website lead me to install a program called 'Driver Tuner' which I did and no help there. I think I'm going to take it to my computer guy - I'm afraid I'll mess up my laptop if I keep playing with it. I appreciate your efforts to help.
