I5 or i7 Help

I need a computer to last me about 4 years or so, the biggest tasks I would use it for would be watching HD movies and running a virtual enviornment. Should I get an i5 750 or i7 860?

i7 860 if you need it to last four years, you might do things later that the i7 could handle better.

i7 860 is faster but a 750 can handle those tasks fine,however for long term use go for i7 860

i7 860 definitely

if u can, go for the i7-930

btw, what exactly is a virtual environment?
