AMD 8120 Cooler Upgrade

Approximate Purchase Date: Sometime this month (I can wait for black Friday/ Cyber Monday deals)

Budget Range: I absolutely can't go over $50 dollars after rebates

Parts to Upgrade: CPU Cooler

Preferred Website(s) for Parts:newegg.com

Location: New York City

Overclocking: Yes I would like to get a modest overclock on my FX8120

I've gotten sick of the amount of noise the 8120's stock cooler and my temps could certainly drop (I tend to idle around 45~47C). I have an Antect DF10 case with 8 gigs of G.Skill Sniper ram that the cooler will have to fit with. The cooler needs to have proper cross flow orientation on my Gigabyte 990fx UD3 AM3+ mobo. I cannot stress how tight my budget is! $50 after rebates is my max.

I have been looking at these coolers:
XIGMATEK Gaia

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... ZALMAN CNPS9500A-LED

ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED

Thanks in advance for your help!!

I'm using this on my 1100t and 1090 , sabertooth board and Gigabyte 890 udm5 boards . So far has kept them under 52c at 100% running B O I N C OR Battlefield 3 , with stock cooler it was hitting over 63c , for the price it can't be beat . And running the 1100 at 4.1 1090 at 4.0 . The coolermaster 212 might be better but this one fits my case easily , was not sure the 212 would fit .
I can also mount a second fan if needed , but so far temps are fine forgot to add cooler http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1683...

I have no experience with that CPU but the Hyper 212 plus got my idle temps to around 30C from 35-40C, definitely recommend that cooler as it offers one of the or if not the best value coolers out there.

So the Hyper 212 Evo is $25 on newegg right now. Should I just get that? Seems like nothing is gonna beat that bang for the buck. Is there any reason to look at another cooler?

Hyper 212 evo is the best you can do for price/performance. I love my EVGA cooler but it is costlier for a performance bump. Good Luck
