when I turn my computer on, i get an error message that says
Runner file name
(Compaq Connections exe)
lacks a "-" (the app id separator)

Can u tell me how to fix this please?

If you don't need the Compaq connections , then just disable the service from Start>run>msconfig>services, and you'll stop getting the messages.
Or just uninstall it. If U can't, see here:
