Unless you use Koolance to water cool the GPUs, the GPU shroud will block the remaining PCIe slots. I've used both Corsair & Mushkin. For best performance don't fill all 6 DDR3; use Tri-Channel vs Hexa-Channel. You would need to contact EVGA to see if ANY 8GB DDR3 {Tri-Channel} was tested {or will even work}; they exist but I don't know even IF ANY EVGA board can run them correctly.

Regarding Tesla M2070 - question is "can" vs "should" - if you are looking for a rendering solution then ONLY use Xeon CPU + EVGA SR-2. The rig will cost you ~ $20,000-$25,000+

99% of Tesla use is in 3U rendering racks and NOT stuck inside a "PC/WS" rig - http://www.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.asp...

Good Luck!

As explained by Jaquith, you wont have any usable slots left if you use the 480's with their default heatsink setups.. Btw, what for do you require to use 4 of those hot and power hungry cards.? If you are intending it for a workstation and/or hpc build then getting the quadro's is highly recommended..

so i am going for 4x gtx480.I've got a custom build liquid cooling with the best configs.
I've got a corsair ram cooler. Can i overclock 1600MHz ram to 2000MHz or higher as evga support upto 2424MHz
