4870 better than 5870?????

I recently benchmarked my system against a my same set-up, with the only difference being the video card mine being a 4870 1GB w/ 256-bit interface clock set at 790MHz/1015MHz, I scored way higher marks in passmark than the 5870 did. What gives? Is the 4870 really better or does this benchmark test not hold water?

Try 3dmark06 or vantage, A 5870 is roughly twice as powerful as a 4870
