The hell is going on?

I have an A7gm-s 2.0 motherboard with an AMD phenom 955 processor. When I first got the board I had to update the bios for the processor to correctly clock itself. Now, It downclocks itself again. I turned off cool and quiet, and the processor STILL stays at a 4x multiplier. Any help here?

You mentioned in your first post that you had to download a BIOS in order for the CPU to be correctly clocked,what was the problem with it ? didn't it clock correctly before the BIOS update ?
