Web pages won't load

Hi all,

I all of a sudden can't get webpages to load on my computer.

I have Windows XP SP3 and several different browsers to choose from: Firefox, IE, Opera, Google Chrome.

It started a couple of days ago when I open FF (My favorite browser) and the open tab says connecting and the "loading circle" spins but the web page remains blank it just continues to search. Google Chrome and IE do the same thing. These are basic webpages like Amazon.com and Foxnews.com and Facebook.

I must point out that MSN Messenger and Yahoo messenger sign on successfully, I can "Ping" google so I know the network connection is there and the family has been watching Netflix on the TV so I am sure its not an internet issue.

This is just becoming very frustrating and I am out of Ideas.

Please help.

Try running without add-ons, by safemode
exemple, for IE:
Start>run>and then type
iexplore -extoff
and press enter.

If those are the problem, then disable them by trial and error.

do some cleaning, like CCleaner and run a scan with Malwareytes, just in case.
