im trying to build a computer for under 450 dollars, a compact one

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: about this week to next week, 400-450 dollars

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: watching HD movies, internet surfing

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: keyboard, mouse, speakers

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: newegg

PARTS PREFERENCES: decent brands at least

OVERCLOCKING: yes
no sli or crossfire

MONITOR RESOLUTION: well i use a 26 inch TV as a monitor

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: it needs to have a HDMI output, and micro ATX case. preferably has 1 PCie

I'm not sure what your goal is in overclocking the cpu. You don't game. You don't bench, if you know what I mean. The 2 uses aren't demanding at all.

Do you need Windows?

Hit 2GB RAMs 1st (one stick) and a 250-320GB SATA HDD and you'd be within budget with OS

Yep OS is to be included but the recent DX10 IGPs like HD 3200, GF 8200 , etc are capable for HD movies actually

Err point is that is a good price for 4GB of DDR3 1600 RAM 2 x 2 w/e they want to classify it as hehe
