How do i get a welcome screen in windows xp

just got a computer from work and i don't know how to get rid of it asking to type in the user name and password and have it show the welcome screen to log on instead

Control panel >user accounts>Change the way users log on and off> use welcome screen.

If it was a work machine it's probably joined to a domain which disables the welcome screen. If that's the case you'll first have to change to workgroup, then you can reenable the welcome screen.
