Crashed Win XP laptop, how to reformat

my laptop's window is crash & i want to format my laptop for win xp how can i format .can i format my laptop with ghost.

The XP installation will offer to format the drive. As long as you can boot from the XP cd, you can format the drive.

Do you not have a CD drive on the machine? There are instructions for building bootable USB drives to install the OS, but it's a pain in the butt sometimes.
