512b sector to 4K bytes

Hi,

I've got a WD EARS 2Tb. At first I used this HD with XP. But now I would like to use it with Win7. At that time I used WD Align software in order to be compatible with XP.

Now, do I need to run a software in order to going back on a 4K sector (HD factory setting)?

If you want the data on the drive you can realign, if not just unpartition all of the space and repartition in Windows 7. Then check with diskpart, but it should be 4k aligned after the unpartition.
