APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: IN THE NEXT 2 WEEKS

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: AVID M.C 3.5, AE CS4 VIDEO CONVERTING (TMPEG ,SORENSON)

PARTS NOT REQUIRED:SPEAKERS....:)

PARTS PREFERENCES: WAS THINKING ABOUT I7 860 BASED SYSTEM OR THE I5 750
OVERCLOCKING: NO , DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT...DONT WANNA END UP HERE ASKING FOR HELP :) 

MONITOR RESOLUTION:

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: well, the budget is in $$$ but i'm converting it to local currency (about 3.5*)
this will be my work staion only, maybe some web but no games no nothing, it needs to last for the next 4 years or so...

If this is going to last 4 years, I would go with the GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD3P

It has USB 3 ports that are going to become very useful.
You would want to use the Xtreme Memory Profile to get the 1600 memory to work with this board at full speed.

but! the ud3p doesn't have a 1394 onboard and that is a must for me,
do you have m.c on your system? what is the xmp?
