2000MT/S VS 5200 MT/S

Hi,
I would like to know if there is a significant difference between those Hyper Transport rates,
and how should it effect?
If its necessary,my CPU is AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE.

More about 2000mt 5200
  1. I know it is the bandwidth but i do not know how much in MHz or GHz it would be equivalent to. it does look like the one with 5200 MT/s will have over twice the theoretical bandwidth.
  2. I guess you have an AM2 mobo, don't bother with that, the CPU will work as rated. From what I know that's the bus between the CPU and the RAM and will not have a noticeable impact.
  3. Well actually I bought this motherboard: http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=wUHApFnERsTHwwHF
which supports up to 2000 MT/S and AM3 socket.
That's why i'm asking if there would be a noticeable difference between those rates
  4. You should be fine from that point of view but I see in here a couple of customers saying that it doesn't support 125 Watt CPUs (Asus claims it does).
