Hi everyone,
I have trouble installing WinXP:

I formatted my harddrive C:, boot up the computer with a floppy, then run Setup.exe. The message displays that the installation can't be done in DOS mode. How do I install it with a computer without any operating system (PC without Windows)

Thanks!
Mike

You need to do one of two things

1) Install XP directly off the cd. Let the cd boot the computer and go from there.
2) Install over an old OS using the advanced menu during startup. This will effectively erase the old windows folder and files and install the new one.

If you can't boot off a cd, go into your bios and tinker with the boot order.
