ASUS p5n72-T restart problems.

I have recently built a new PC using the above motherboard, which i have now found out has provided many people with problems. Mine comes in the form of rebooting. While the operating system is installing the computer needs to restart itself, it seems to be unable to reboot itself however. It seems like it can't fully power down, it stops sending to the monitor but the fans still work. I've tried leaving it for upto 30mins to reset but doesn't work. The only way to restart is to manually power down and then switch on but this takes me back to step one. May not have explained it very well, but any ideas?

When it tries to restart and nothing happens, remove the installer CD from the drive first, then manually power the PC down and restart it.
