Can I use my laptop as an external DVD drive?

Hey everyone,

I thought I had everything!

Built my system, went to install OS...DOH!! No DVD drive.

BestBuy has them for $50 (too expensive)
Newegg has them for $25 (don't wanna wait, you all understand...)

Can I hook up and eSATA cable to my laptop and PC and use the laptop's DVD drive as an external drive to install the OS?

Please respond with haste!

You can't connect an eSata cable to the laptop to use the DVD. Don't you have any local computer store that's less expensive than BestBuy?

order from newegg it literaly took 2 days from order to door step

or just download it to an external hardrive(if you have one) or large usb drive and then boot the computer from that.
