Hello,
Just purchase a ASUS M4A89GTD PRO AMD 890GX Socket AM3 Motherboard- I also purchased Corsair XMS3 4GB PC10666 DDR3 Dual Channel 1333MHz- Currently I have no post /video. The memOk red light stays solid. When I hold down the memOk button and go through a series of tuning test it blinks for about 30 seconds and then becomes solid again. I tried mixing and match the pair of memory in all 4 slots. Its always the same and always blinks and then stays red. Is my memory compatible with this board? I also tried to clear the CMOS. The pc currently has just the basics:

Power supply 750 watt
processor AM3MD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition AM3 CPU
memory Corsair XMS3 4GB PC10666 DDR3 Dual Channel 1333MHz
Motherboard ASUS M4A89GTD PRO AMD 890GX Socket AM3

Everything is plugged in and seems to be powered. I do get memory beeps if I pull the memory. What could be the problem? compatibility? Any help would be greatly appreciated

I also have the same board with USB3, whenever I set the memory frequency in the BIOS to 1600 Mhz, CPU-Z shows 800 Mhz and whenever i set it to 1333 Mhz in the BIOS, CPU-Z shows 667 Mhz.
I have A-DATA Xtreme Series XPG 2GB*2 (4GB)
ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T 3.2 Ghz (not overclocked)

Same board, same problem.

750Watt PSU, 4x 2GB Corsair CMX8GX3M4A1600C9 Memory.
System won't post with 4 modules in, however sometimes with when I run 2 modules, non dual channel mode.
Manually changed settings (slower clock sped & timing, voltages, recommended settings)

Everything. BIOS is the latest 1606 version from the site, and the poor technician from ASUS who replied my Technical Query can't read properly. Says the board does not support this memory, but it was the first thing I checked. No other "help".

Anyone got an update?

Quick update. Read this
http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&id=20100925231640459&board_id=1&model=M4A89TD%20PRO/USB3&page=2&count=15

What I noticed, is the system would post & boot with one stick of memory, or even dual (however not in dual channel mode)

Memory controller is in the cpu...err...wait a tick...
Read the post linked above, one guy released some clip tension on the cpu cooler.
I am using the standard shipped amd cooler, removed the chip, replaced & replaced the heat sink, however did not lock it fully and...presto...

Posts & boots with all 4 sticks...what a STUPID problem...

Hi,
I have ASUS M4A89GTD PRO AMD 890GX Socket AM3 Motherboard, Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition AM3 CPU and I just purchased Corsair XMS3 4GB DDR3 Dual Channel 1600MHz.
I struggled for about 30 min, until I found (luckily on the laptop) the link Vasjh posted, and managed to quickly change the parameters to 8-8-8-21 until a block would occure.
For the first time I was able to boot, enter XP and work without interruptions (until now) with casual work - Internet, mail etc.

Now I have a new challenge ... make Ubuntu notebook work on my FS Amilo D7850 ... it installs but it never boots Ubuntu.
