Is there a fix for this? MediaPlayer and Screensaver?

Got a question that I cant figure out.

I have XP running a small parts database and media player running our music on hold for our phone system.

Is there a way to make MP invisible so the screensaver or monitor power down will work?

For some stupid reason it just bothers me to turn the monitor on and off.

Media Player will not allow my screen saver to come on.

All I have access to right now is Windows Media Player 12 on Windows 7, but in the options, under the Player tab, there's a tick box for "Allow screensaver during playback."
