MB: ASRock 970 Extreme 3
Bios Ver: 1.7
I successfully got the multiplier up to x20 for 4.0 GHz. While running Prime95 I got an unexpected result failure so I rebooted and up'd the voltage by a step. Rerunning Prime95 made this go a bit more than last time but still failed so I upped the voltage another step and reran again which seemed to go a bit longer than before.
I'm just curious if this is the right process I should be doing before I harm the chip. At what point do I start messing with northbridge multiplier and voltage and other settings?
Thanks!
