None.
They are all very good at
covering up the truth when
it might hurt the companies
that pay for advertising.
In other words, you will
*never* find any negative
information in any PC mag
about any of the major
brands.

"Seems like" is the operative phrase here.
As far as I can tell, MobilePC reviews
only equipment provided by vendors. It
also reviews only US models. And what
is worst, the reviews barely scratch
the surface. They appear to be written
more for the well heeled executive who
has money to spend on a new toy, than
for the serious computer professional
who needs to get work done.
My recommendation is very simmple:
stick with top of the line models
from Panasonic, IBM and Fujitsu,
and remember it is all downhill
from there.

Well I don't know where your wisdom comes from. Take PC Magazine for
example. HP Pavilion ze5300 got a mediocre 2/5 rating there
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,1275613,00.asp, even though HP sure is
one of their major advertisers. And this is just one of the examples.

That's not true. In August issue you can find a review of HP Compaq nx7010
which is widely available in Europe.

That's a very subjective statement. Moreover, it seems to suggest that
executives are not people "who need to get work done".

Oh really? How about Apple Powerbook laptops then? Are they downhill too?

Do you own your software or have a friend in the store load you up when you
buy?
I resisted the urge to compare windows and macs going downhill with men.
