So first of all I would like to thank the community here for helping me put together my first rig. Couldn't have done it without you guys. It started with me just wanting to build a decent gaming PC that I could also do some school work and regular work on. Two months later I have a good PC and a whole PC station in my room.

With your guys' help I built an i5-750 rig OCed to 3.8GHz. Since I have a small room I needed a desk to fit my needs. No one made one like that so I decided to make one myself. Below are some pictures of my new rig and the desk and peripherals that go along with it all.

Rig

i5-750 at 3.8GHz
Hyper 212+ HSF
Gigabyte P55-UD3r motherboard
4GB G-Skill Ripjaws at 1440MHzATI 5850GPU
OCZ 700W PSU
WD Caviar Black 640GB
LG Blu-Ray Player
Dual Acer H233H 23" monitors

My system is hooked into a 2 channel Sony receiver running two Definitive Technologies Studio Monitor 350s at 125W.

The desk was built using a pre-made counter top that I bought at Lowe's and cut down to my specs. I wall mounted the top with some brackets and drilled 2in holes for the wires.

I still have some wire routing issues to deal with but I will figure that out at a later date. Let me know what you all think and if you have any suggestions.

This is the PC before I rewired it some to make it a little neater.

Very nice. I actually sent you a private message earlier today asking about your rig because I have been having issues with my video

Nice build bro, its very similar to the computers I put together for my work recently. I ended up using some Gskill RipJaws RAM too. It was on sale on newegg when I ordered it for like 89.99 or something. Lol

I also used the i5 750 but sadly I went kinda cheap on the MOBO's and picked two ASrock PRO P55 MOBO's. I also only bought a 650 PSU for my work's builds so your build is overall nicer probably.

Anyways man nice job.

Thanks but mine goes to a black screen and the audio continues for a minute then my whole system becomes very unresponsive. It only happens occasionally. I tried the hot fix to see if that would help and it didnt.

Honestly man you might want to try lowering your CPU's clock speed, and if you messed with your RAM when you where overclocking make sure you set that back to its regular settings.

Then see how your system runs after you do what I said above. Then if the problem stops happening you'll know it was related to problems from overclocking the CPU a bit too much or turning up your RAM's MHZ.

Anyways man good luck

Looks really good man. What case is that that you are using? And what kind of temps are you getting with that HSF? I ask because I used the same one on my Phenom X4 965, but I think I screwed up the application of the thermal paste.

Nice setup, I like your idea for a desk too. And yeah, don't think that an overclock is "stable" until you can run prime95 torture tests on it for hours and hours with no errors, same with Memtest86

I ran both of those tests for 12+ hrs with no problems. I only encounter problems when video goes to full screen. It can be youtube, Hulu, or even games and it only happens occasionally.
