Is x48 chipset ram campatible with x58

was thinking about upgrading to more ram and found a nice deal but it is tested on x58 and my mobo is x48 chipset Rampage Extreme. Any known issues to this?

As long as the RAM specs meet/match the specs for your motherboard then it does not matter what motherboard chipset the the RAM was tested on.

Generally speaking, it is a good idea to reference the website for your motherboard and use RAM on the QVL (Qualified Vendors List) as that RAM will be certain to be compatible with your motherboard.

Well you need a RAM with 1.65v or lower voltage in order to use it on a X58 chipsets;whereas, Intel Core 2 Duo/Quad CPUs will work fine with 1.8-2.2v RAMs, can you post the specs of the RAM that you are considering ?
