Another possibility -- ( LINKIE ) -- seems a recent Mcafee antivirus update is causing that on XP systems -- so do you use Mcafee Antivirus and are you using XP ??

try disabling auomatic restart on system error and see if you get an error message or if it still happens.

In XP:
Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties. Then click the Advanced tab.
Under Startup and Recovery, click Settings
Uncheck the Automatically restart check box, and click OK the necessary number of times.

You'll need to restart your computer for the settings to take effect.
