Sata3 hdd on sata1 mobo?

im looking to set up a media centre PC and im looking to get a Seagate Barracuda 1TB sata3, but since the pc ill be using its quite old it only has sata1, in fact, its currently only using IDE. will i run into any problems? or will it work fine?

Some SATA 3gb drives came with jumpers to force SATA 150 speeds, do not know if that is true today.
