This is a nice, simple, entry-level board. You're likely not going to be doing a lot of overclocking and only some casual gaming with it. Be careful what you put with it now as your upgrade options may be limited later.

Any thoughts on what your are building this PC out for?

A good LGA 775 motherboard is the ASUS P5Q Pro @ about $100.00 it will basically take any LGA775 Pentium4/PentiumD/Pentium Dual Core/Core2Duo/Core2Quad/Core2Extreme CPU out there. Overclocks VERY well too.

------------------------------ - ASUS Rampage Formula - Intel Core2Quad Q9650 @ 3.6GHz - MSI GTX 460 1GB - NZXT Phantom 410 white - Corsair TX750 - G.Skill 4GB DDR2-800 - WD Caviar Black 640 GB 32-meg cache - OCZ 30-GB SSD - Hyper 212+

Oh, well then you're going to want something with a bit more to it. Are you stuck on the Core 2 Duo?

A good i5 may be a better choice, but if you're on a strict budget and want to stay on the Core 2 Duo, then I'd consider the ASUS P5Q or the Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3L. You'll need to add a graphics card, but these boards will give you solid performance. Both also use DDR2 memory, which should be fine for your needs. There are an array of motherboards that support the Core 2 Duo and the newer DDR3 memory, but typically are more expensive and it looks like the pairing doesn't yield any better performance.
