This board seems to have a lot of bad reviews. Would any one recommend it? The microcenter near me is running a nice deal on it.

Huh?! Newegg {Users} think it great and has a ton of positive reviews. Pay attention to {Verified Owner} reviews. So yes, I'd recommend the MOBO.

Its a great board, don't rely on user reviews(from stores),read reviews from trusted sites.

If you can't get 890GX/FX chipsets,then its a alternative.

I just noticed "Verified owners", they weren't in newegg before and it seems they are quite fair.
By user reviews,i meant the ones from non-verified users.

Seems like that board has a lot of bad reviews for DOA. Not just a few either. Though, if I get it from microcenter, I can run straight back and throw it at them if it doesn't work.

^ These's not one MOBO, Accessory, RAM, you name it that won't have a few negative reviews(ers); NONE!!!

I was referring to the 1 out of 6 or so reviews that only gave it 1 or 2 eggs. About 100 bad reviews out of 600ish.

^ Here they all are in rated sort ($100-$200). Note a 5 "star" with 50 reviews means nothing to 4 "star" with 600 reviews. Next you'll need to decipher (revisions of MOBOS).

Last, you couldn't give me free MOBOs except {ordered by my preference & experience} - AMD/X58 MOBOS: (excluding WS/Server/specialty boards)
