Fan speeds

I have a PNY 9800 gt 1gb. My card usually gets to 80 degrees celsius when im gaming. I could get it lower if my fan speed didnt reset when I go over 60 degrees. Is there anyway to disable this nVidia fail safe fan speed. I have used Rivatuner and Evga precision but both cause the fan speed to reset.

You should be able to lock it in with precision. Are you sure youre saving it?

You also have to save the setting in Rivatuner and check the box to make it use that setting at start up.

Yea I do that but once it reaches 60 degrees its back down to 35% fan speed

35% fan speed or 35% duty cycle?

Pretty sure fan speed. Its not always 35% when it resets. If the cards at 75 degrees and I try to put fan speed back up to 100% it will speed up for about 10 seconds then just go down to 41%, 50% or whatever
