Installing drivers and utilities from Dell OEM CD

I have reinstalled Windows XP from the Dell OEM Reinstallation CD (hopefully correctly) but I can't get the computer to work well after I install he OEM Drivers and Utilities CD, I am following the correct instuctions on the CD but the computer is still very slow. What sequence do I install the dirvers in to get the computer to work normally?

You now need to visit the Dell website and install all the updated drivers that are available.

Also, you need to install all the Windows XP updates.
