Asus P6x58D build w/Video input issue

Hey guys...doing a build for my folks and am at a weird stuck point that I've never seen before.

I'm building the exact same box, one for dad, one for mom and have the exact same problem on both boxes.

Components:
Asus P6x58d motherboard
2 gigs Corsair RAM
Gigabyte GTX260 video card on one, GTX280 video card on the other (they end of life'd me on the 260 so had to pick it's replacement).

I built the second box because I built everything out, it powers up, fans run, lights on, all that stuff. BUT, no video out from the video card. Tried the second card on the same box - same issue.

Built the second box to test whether it was component level. Exactly the same problem comes up again.

I'm wondering if I am missing something on the set up...it appears the components are fine.

And yep, the cards were plugged into the power supply properly! Thanks a bunch for any insights - it's probably a noob oversight or something specific to the m/b...that's all I can figure right now.

What is your power supply, just to be sure? Have you also made sure to disable your mobo's onboard video hardware, and tell the BIOS that video will be handled by your dedicated GPUs?

Please perform EVERY step in the READ before posting about boot problems! sticky. I'm willing to bet step #2 will resolve your problem with both systems.
